First free training course for BAME aspiring parliamentary candidates under BAME Labour, The 54 Group,s new OBAMA Scholarship scheme.
Held at 39 Victoria Street London SW1 on 4th April 2009 from 10am to 5pm.Lunch provided.
BAME MPs, Party officials and BAME Executive will be running the course.
To educate, train, inspire and motivate our BAME young people so as to bring them to a level whereby they may have no difficulty to compete fairly with other candidates in order to increase BAME representation in the parliament.
After successfully completing the BAME Labour training courses they will be included BAME Labour’s parliamentary panel list and will be provided relevant information and support.
Trade Unions and BAME MPs and MEPs can nominate Four candidates two females and two males, for the first training course to be held under this scheme.

Labour Party Annual Conference Saturday 20 September - Wednesday 24 September, Manchester
Labour Party Annual Conference 2008 will take place in Manchester. To ensure delegates are able to fully debate the big policy challenges facing Britain in depth, today and in the future, the National Executive Committee agreed that the timetable for conference be extended.
